Enactment

A psychoanalytic term that refers to the interaction within a therapy session of unconscious material of the therapist that activates or gets activated by unconscious material of the client. The ongoing effort to bring enactments into awareness, and work within enactments to increase client self-integration and trauma processing, is a primary mechanism of therapeutic action of the CBP treatment model.
